The restoration of a leaded glass window is not to make the window look like a new one,
rather to keep the antiquity and unlock the beauty and architecture that the original
artist saw before the first piece of glass was ever fired.
There is more to stained glass windows than just the beauty.
There is a self supporting structural value as well.
Starting with the wood frame, lead came, cement,
horizontal or vertical slats and when any one of these components breaks down,
the glass itself holds the stress causing sags, or buckling and glass breakage.
